This Really Piss ME - NCH Software
This is how my Start Menu looks like after I install the WavePad Editor. This really pissed me off, look at how many shortcut this program added to my desktop. Uninstall it immedially I found this out.
wondering how you uninstalled...can't see anything in add/remove programs and they of course don't give us an uninstall utility when they install all that crudware on machine
Jodi, to uninstall all those crudware, you need to UnInstall WavePad Sound Editor. You can do this via Add/Remove. Alternatively if you want to keep WavePad just delete all those shortcut in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\NCH Software Suite"
Same gripe about NCH. I installed two of their programs and ended up with 13 NCH software Suite list of shortcuts, as well as a similar list of 13 more under "Audio Related Programs" plus 3 more along with the two NCH programs I actually installed. I uninstalled all NCH software a while back after this discovery and later reinstalled Express Rip, Switch..., and Wave Pad being carefull to check for check boxes etc. that would allow them to put all the shortcuts on there. They are not "innocent" shortcuts as they will download and install whatever they're linked to so I guess the solution is to delete them, though it goes against the grain since they look like "programs" because they're in the start menu. If they really are just shortcuts then deleting them won't cause any problems. But I'm sure they've gunked up lots of computers because users started clicking on them willy nilly. NCH gets a "BAD" for this tactic.

Any of the software listed on NCH Suites will need to be uninstalled. Check your add/remove list and find any that shows NCH Suite as the source. Delete all such software and that should remove the NCH Suite icon as well.

Deleting Wave Pad worked for me and got rid of all the programs I didn't ask for. Thank you.
