Pebble Classic in Boot Loop

Stuck in boot loop after firmware upgrade? This become a repeated event for my Pebble Classic after I goes to vestion 3. Each firmware I will stuck in Boot Loop. Below what I used to recover from boot loop for version v3.11.1

Solutions below are from various forum and official Pebble support.
  1. Delete any Bluetooth pairings on your phone
  2. Reboot your phone
  3. Delete ReInstall Pebble Apps
  4. Press and hold BACK, UP and SELECT until the Pebble reboot (Reset / Recovery Mode). You need to hold for about 10 seconds untill you see the word Pebble + loading bar / progress bar.
  5. Wait till pebble/app screen shown
    then press and hold the Down button (bottom right) until an animation of two spinning circles appears (approx. 7-10 seconds).
  6. Wait for the animation to stop.
  7. Open your phone's Bluetooth settings. If you see your Pebble listed, forget the device.
  8. Open the Pebble app on your phone.
  9. Tap the Connect prompt near the bottom of the app.
  10. Once your Pebble updates, you'll be all set to go!

vPost Review

Just a quick review on vPost = if you are not Singapore customer, forget about it. Base Charge of US20.40 per package, insanely high. Not sure when the rules changed, no more consolidation for non Singaporean.

Decided to try it after they revamp the site, ended up pay a lot more. This will be my last transaction with them. HopShopGo will be recommended by be. BTW for those in Malaysia and wish to buy from TaoBao go checvk out

Recover UniFi PPPoE Password

Bought myself a replacement router for UniFi, here comes the problem. Where do I fond my unifi PPPoE login password?

Below a quick guide which I found after Google it.

First you need to enable Telnet if you are using the Windows 7.

  1. Control Panel  -> Programs And Features –> Turn Windows features on or off
  2. Check Telnet Client
  3. Click OK

Next Telnet into the D-Link Router supplies by TM. If you don’t have the Super Admin (aka operator) password try followings.

Username : operator
Password : telekom

Username : operator
Password : h566UniFi

Username : operator
Password : <your Unifi username in reverse order>

BTW for those who don’t know how to use Telnet. Open a Command Prompt windows. Type Telnet (the D-Link router IP). Once successful your will be prompt to enter user id and password.

Enter this command once you login.

cat /etc/ppp/chap-secrets

Installing Windows 7 from USB Drive

After flashing the latest firmware to my Seagate Momentus XT hybrid drive, it’s time to install a fresh OS. I decided to give Windows 7 x64 a try. To speed up the installing I choose to setup using USB instead of DVD drive. Following two guide will let your prepare a USB Drive for this.

Need a Unicode batch file rename software?

Looking for a batch file rename software which support Unicode like Chinese? Found this freeware which is really good and it is a Freeware. Ant Renamer 2.10 are a light weight software which support XP up to Windows 7.

The UI may not be as user friendly as another freeware like File Renamer Basic, but he program are very powerful.


Below are features of Ant Renamer extracted from the official site. The biggest feature you don’t find in other software are the support of Unicode file rename.

This program can rename large amounts of files and folders in few clicks. It only modifies files/folders names:

  • Changing extension
  • Replacing character strings by others
  • Inserting a character string
  • Moving characters
  • Deleting several characters
  • Enumeration
  • Name creation with mp3's Tag (ID v1.1)
