Launchy 2.1.2

My favourites application launch tools had released a new version, in case you not aware of this tools I highly recommend your download and install, it will save you time. Below is what’s new in this version;

Launchy is a free windows utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager. Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks with just a few keystrokes.

Latest Changes:

  • Added Linux support! (KDE and Gnome both work, possibly others)
  • Added Google Calculator plugin (gcalc)
  • Added configurable default search to weby (all searches with no results default to google)
  • “/” and “\” now tab complete while file browsing
  • Added rescue mode to recover lost windows or forgotten hotkeys (in Linux run “launchy rescue” or use the start menu in windows)
  • Minimum transparency set to 15%
  • Searches are even faster and the catalog uses slightly less memory
  • Fixed the database update timer
  • Fixed centering problem when multiple monitors in use
  • Fixed the url encoding problem, e.g. googling for “c#” now works

Whole new look for your Outlook Email - XOBNI

xobni A new plug in for Outlook which I recommended your give it a try. Some of the features I like about it are;

Lighting Fast Email Search – lots more faster as compare to the default search in Outlook 2007.

Threaded Conversation – If you already get used to GMail threaded conversation this is a pretty good.

Quick attachment discovery – provide you a historical list of attachments for the selected contact.

Other features which I think is nice to have are;

  • Email analytics
  • Navigate your inbox by people
  • Your personal assistant
  • Phone numbers extracted from emails

Click this link for a product tour and decide you want to give this software(currently in beta) a try.

FinePrint 6

If you want to give the new version of FinePrint a try, you may want to skip. After installed I found it slow and not much enhancement which worth me to pay US20 for the upgrade. I am still happy with the v5.85 which I am currently using. Just my 2 cents.
